Only 25% of middle school students meet the standard 30 minutes a day of writing and 33% of middle schoolers are only writing up to 15 minutes a day.
These are troubling statistics.
One of the factors contributing to this is that many schools lack the resources to offer the type of high-quality individualized instruction to ensure that students develop strong critical thinking and writing skills needed to navigate their academic, professional, and personal journeys.
This is where WriterCoach Connection comes in. We run our programs, free of charge to the students, in school communities where structural oppression has resulted in unequal access to educational opportunities.
